Recently I’ve been revisiting the book Thanks for the Feedback by Douglas Stone and Sheila Heen, which is about the science and art of receiving feedback well.
In the video above I share with you the sketchnotes that I took from a section that explores the role that blindspots can play in conversations that include any sort of feedback (which is a lot of them!).
Here’s how things looked by the time I filled the page:
If you like the idea of taking visual notes to better remember and act on the ideas you read about, then join us for our upcoming sketchnote book club!
In early January I’ll be hosting a community challenge where we all sketchnote the same source material – What Works by Tara McMullin – and then gather to share our sketchnotes, talk about the ideas within them, and learn from each other’s sketchnoting process.
The event in which we’ll be discussing What Works will take place on January 11th, 2023.
Here’s where you can learn more about joining Verbal to Visual.
Hope to see you there!
